I just sold this beautiful lakefront townhome in Reston for $800,000. The buyers are my longtime neighbors in the McLean Hamlet, so I’m looking for not just one, but two sets of new neighbors. Ten original McLean Hamlet homes have sold in 2017, with an average net sales price of $1,004,500. A newly constructed home also sold for over $1,600,000, which is not included in that average net sales price. These homes sold on average in just 9 days listed on the market. In addition to these sales, there are three homes currently under contract that will close within the next few weeks. These three homes were on the market for an average of 3 days, and averaged a list price of $1,048,000! These prices are almost unprecedented compared to previous years in the McLean Hamlet.
A McLean Hamlet home sold today for $1,220,000. The home, a colonial with 4 bedrooms upstairs and one on the main level, was listed for sale on June 11 by Fairfax Realty.
The Schnippel family, whom I believe are original owners of 1301 Macbeth Street, have sold their home to Evergreene Homes. Evergreene plans to construct an Arts & Craft model home on the property with four bedrooms and three and a half baths. The list price for the new home is $1,541,900. A list price of $970,000 for the home at 7723 Timon Drive has been posted in the multiple listing service. This home was not on the market when it went under contract, and it is scheduled to close on June 6. Look for an update next week with the sale price.
The home at 7724 Desdemona Court, currently on the market for rent for $4,995 per month, will be listed for sale by June 6, for a sale price of $1,274,995. This home, which is a colonial with five bedrooms, three full bathrooms on three levels, and a two car garage is located at the back of a cul-de-sac. It is currently listed as “Coming Soon”.
